This section of the website contains images of various battlefields with a mixture of contemporary and modern photographs and other images.
The first two of these is a series of images focussing on the mining campaign which took place for the Battle of Messines, on June 7th 1917, and the preserved front line German Bayernwald trenches, both in the Ypres Salient.. (See the seperate pages below left).
